World Description
Welcome to Arsenios, a fantasy roleplay world populated by magical spellcasting beings. These include witches, warlocks, mages, sorcerers, fairies, and more. Arsenios is set in modern time yet in its own isolated world away from the real world. Live out your magical life here in Arsenios in one of our four regions! In Arsenios, though set in modern time, magical places are home to magical beasts so don’t be surprised if you venture into Basilisk territory, stumble into Wingalia: the nearby pixie forest, and be weary of the dragons who rest on Mount Regalia, located on  the outskirts of the Cynbel region. With modern magic practices, fear not about a beast finding its way in, boundaries are set around all main cities in each region and have been effective for many tens of years. Each region is ruled by four guardians, all representing the four points of the world. The Northern guardian rules over the region's people and society. Usually in charge of rule making and enforcing as well as the wellbeing of their people. The Eastern Guardian overlooks the diplomatic part of the region. They are in charge of inter-region agreements, export/imports, treaties, and more of that nature. The Southern Guardian is in charge of regional protection through its defense team. War and battle is typically unheard of and hasn't happened since Arsenios’ four regions became united. Defense teams are still out to help with regional emergency relief, in case of imminent danger, and to carry out orders for the sake of the region’s wellbeing. Lastly, the Western Guardian deals with all things financial for a region. They oversee the region’s  budget and maintain balance. All Guardians must work together and make calls for their sector, though all substantial decisions MUST be approved by the Northern Guardian. 

Regions
Elpis (hope), Cynbel (war), Nechtan (damp), Eudora (good gift)

Region Description
Arsenios consists of four prominent regions: Elpis, Cynbel, Nechtan, and Eudora. Each region is known for their affinity in different magical specialties and can help guide a young or old spellcaster through their magical affinity. Each region is home to a university particularly catered towards the region’s specialty.

If you’re looking for help in elemental magic, alchemy, healing magic, aura magic and magic specialties that are similar, you’d want to look for a mentor and join university in the Cynbel region. The Cynbel region is known for its quarterly season change. While the other regions  use  magic to keep their region weather static, Cynbel  believes in the balance of all seasons and its significance in relation to their magic specialties.

If  you’re looking for help in necromancy, animancy, incantations, lunar magic, candle work,  potion creating, astrology,  tarot,  and magic specialties that are similar, you’d want to look for a mentor and join university in the Nechtan region. The Nechtan  region is known for being a very damp and dark region. They rely on the balance of  life and death and channel spacial energies into their magic. Though focusing on more dark arts, they never promote dark arts being used improperly. There is a way to use dark arts for good and they are here to show that. You’d have the best luck in finding a great raven familiar in this region as they are very popular. Don’t let the dark atmosphere fool you. The people of Nechtan are just as bright and happy in their own way. 

If you are looking for help in animal magic, nature magic (plant & flower),culinary magic, music magic, fairy magic, emotion magic, telepathy, and other artistic magic specialties, you’d want to find a mentor and attend university in the Eudora region. Expect the weather to be a beautiful spring day all year round in this region. This region is a big vacation spot for citizens of the other regions. Here you can find bustling food festivals, many museums, aquariums, plays, and anything art related. Some of the best restaurants and cafes can also be found here in Eudora.

If you are looking for a little of everything or have yet to unlock your affinity, look no further then Elpis. The Elpis region offers mentorships and small classes on almost every kind of magic in the world that isn't any of the specialties found in any of the other regions. Many people also visit Elpis when they are confused on what their affinity is. Though affinities become known at the age of 18, sometimes they are harder to uncover so look into taking an affinity getaway. Specialists of affinity will guide you through different means of pulling the affinity out. 9/10 usually leave finally knowing their affinity.

World Society
Arsenios society functions mainly how our lives do. Anything that is illegal or looked down upon will most likely be the same here. Ideally, the land of Arsenios is an inclusive and safe one so we hope you can adhere to that! As the world of Arsenios grows, the community will suggest ways to improve our society.

How Magic Works
Every citizen born and living in Arsenios has magic running in them. Mundane humans do not exist in this realm. From the ages of 1-17, all persons have the ability to channel raw, basic magic energies that are then cultivated through home life and school. 18, known as ‘lumen’, is the day your magical affinity should be revealed. This awakening, usually through a dream, points you to the magical specialty you are chosen to succeed in. This does not mean one person can not dabble in many specialties, but in order to become fully endowed with a specialties energy, you must have been gifted on ‘lumen’ with that affinity. This is essentially when young spellcasters come of age. Some don’t ever experience ‘lumen’ and it can either come later in life or sometimes not at all if you don't try to coax it out. If you’re a late bloomer, find your way to a lumen guru in the Elpis region for an affinity getaway. Affinity getaways are usually a two week excursion that features many rituals led by a lumen guru to help draw your affinity out. Most citizens also have familiars! The most common familiars are cats, owls, and ravens.  Though, not mandatory so choose the familiar that fits you best!

People of Arsenios
All members are required to have a character that fits within the Arsenios being criteria. Ideally, you use or create a character that will be tied to the land of Arsenios (even if you RP outside of this community with your character, they maintain all of their memories, life experiences, relationships, etc of Arsenios. If they were born here, that is where they should always have as their birthplace.). Of course this is ideal, so it is NOT mandatory you tie your character to here. But, it is mandatory that your character fulfills the following:
A witch, wizard, mage, or any similar race. You must be some sort of spellcaster. If you are unsure of your race and want to know if your idea fits, feel free to ask an admin!
Must be from one of the four regions. *NOTE: more regions hopefully will be added if this community grows but for now, the only options are these four.
Has one specific magic specialty. *NOTE: if your character is younger than 18 or has not reached ‘lumen’ at least have an intended affinity*
Not overpowered. If  your character is seen being too OP for the world then we will kindly ask you to tone them down.  
Has a fully written bio *NOTE: A link to our bio template will be available. It is just a frame of the necessary info needed. Feel free to then customize the layout and expand but you MUST fill out the categories there.*
Face claim is ideally original art or anime style, but if you feel more comfortable with real people face claims, that is allowed. ANY ART USED AS A FACE CLAIM MUST EITHER BE YOURS OR CREDITED TO THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS!
